Helping children in our community

Community support is so important -- when we support one another, the "village" benefits. :)

Victoria's Artisan Gifts is a micro-business, and I don't have a brick and mortar shop -- just a sunny little working studio. But here in our community of Claremont, and sometimes reaching out to neighboring communities, we make small donations whenever possible to several local non-profit organizations that in turn help our regional community through the work they do.

Since relocating to Claremont in 2016, we've happliy made the following donations (apologies if I've left anybody out):

- Diapers to Baby Steps in Claremont,

- Chalkboard Mats to Tatum's Totes of Springfield, VT, for children going into foster care

- Cash and pet food donations (ongoing) to the Sullivan County Humane Society (donated funds help them purchase dog and cat food for people in need or supplies for the shelter),

- Children's tutus and dressup accessories to One-4-All Center in Claremont.

- Children's new clothing donation for a non-profit holiday gifts collection for local families in need

- Chalkboard Play Mats as prizes for the Arrowhead Cardboard Sled Race in Claremont

- And last week, a donation of $125.00 in non-perishable groceries, milk, cereal, oatmeal, fruits and snacks for the Claremont School District and Claremont Learning Partnership take-home food pantry, in partnership with the Claremont Soup Kitchen.

Hooray! I'm so glad to be able to help this important community effort.

(Oh, and also two Chalkboard Play Mats for children to use when visiting the Soup Kitchen.) <3

Nationally, we have also donated handmade goods for a fundraiser auction, to Relay for Life for their fundraiser raffles, and elsewhere.

So that's just a recap. If you would like to donate, whether groceries, funds, or volunteer time, please consider any program that brings food into the homes of local families.

And a BIG THANK YOU to all of these organizations for the work you do every day!

Sincerely,

Tory Denis, owner / maker, Victoria's Artisan Gifts, Claremont NH <3
