It's Spoopy Time

I know it's just the beginning of Fall, but Halloween is just around the corner (maybe two corners) and I was thinking of all the costumes I've made for the kids over the years. We've had ghosts and pumpkins and Pikachu and fancy ladies and a genie and princesses and witches. And wayyyy more.

Do you sew your own costumes? Are you the leave-the-candy-on-the-porch house, or do you go all out with the mechanical werewolf and 10-foot inflatable cat? (By the way, I'm the first, but I've seen one of those cats and they are definitely IMPRESSIVE! :)

"Spoopy" just sounds funny, and my kids (all adults now) say it all the time ... now I can't use the word "spooky" without it morphing .... pretty much for the same reason I could probably name most of the original 150 or so Pokemon. Happy sigh. :)

Anyhow, I was browsing Etsy recently and wanted to share that if you are not yet familiar with Etsy (or maybe just a little), you can learn a lot about their weird and wonderful story -- which I've been a part of since 2007! -- by visiting Etsy.com and just poking around the About section, when you've got a few minutes and a good cup of tea or coffee. Very interesting!

Meanwhile, here's a cool article I found on their blog page -- and as a member of Etsy, I wanted to share it with you. :)

From skull planters to true crime to feminism and fantastical temporary tattoos: See how Etsy is helping folks "Elevate Halloween" this year! :) https://blog.etsy.com/news/2018/this-october-were-elevating-halloween/

Happy Fall! <3
