What a year it's been ... and onward!
Hello, Spring 2021, we sure are glad to see you. :)
Last year was one like we've never had, full of challenges, loss, and perseverance. Over here in rural western NH, as everywhere, we've been hopeful and careful as the world navigated through this pandemic. My heart has been heavy for those who have experienced loss. And yet hopeful as we strive to support one another with love, friendship, or helping neighbors.
To everyone who went to your local businesses, who made masks, who kept our hospitals and grocery stores and nursing homes and police stations and gas stations and fire departments running, and so many more, THANK YOU with all my heart!!
Ever so cautiously, Victoria's Artisan Gifts has been taking part in several recent outdoor craft shows -- organized with BIG heart and LOTS of preparation. They have seen great success, as visitors are welcomed with social distancing, wide 10-foot one-way aisles, masks required, hand sanitizer available everywhere, and lots of patient and friendly vendors and staffers welcoming shoppers who have been looking forward to safely getting out of the house. It's truly been so very nice to see smiling faces outdoors (even if we only see each others' smiling eyes) and having a nice time! I'm grateful.
I've also been busy making new Chalkboard Play Mats, which during the pandemic went to lots of homes for play time, at-home schooling, or just to take out on the deck and draw. :) New this year was a 4XL super large Chalkboard Play Mat that was 4 times bigger than my Large size (see photo sent by this little fellow's Mom) to do schoolwork on the dining room table. That was a fun project. Please let me know if you ever need something like this is a custom size. Otherwise, find Small and Large prints at my booth at local craft fairs! <3
We will continue to appear at craft shows in New Hampshire throughout this summer and fall (and tentatively in the Bangor Mall this fall). The website will be updated with show dates periodically. Check back often!
